RJ Ventilation carry a range of roof ventilation systems for your home in Australia. Ventilation is important for your comfort and health throughout the year and is a natural companion to roof space insulation.  In summer, roof ventilator systems assist you to remove a build up of hot air in the roof space.  In winter, roof ventilators will aid in reducing the impact of condensation inside your roof space.

how it works

There are four main types of roof ventilation products available -

Static Roof Vent

Wind Driven Vent

Sometimes referred to as roof valves, these vents sit on the roof and rely on a pressure differential between outside and inside for air to move out of your roof area. The wind-driven air vent is the most common form of air ventilation seen on roofing  in WA, often referred to as whirlybirds. They rely on wind to spin the head and draw air out from inside your roof area. Good quality wind-driven units have excellent bearings and start operating at low wind speeds so in WA conditions they should be spinning all of the time.

Electric Powered Vents

Solar Powered Vents

Powered roof vents are connected to your home’s power supply and usually have a thermostat. Once the heat on the thermostat inside your roof reaches the set temperature, the unit turns itself on, pumping out air until the heat inside your roof area returns below the set temperature level.  Powered by the sun, these solar ventilators also have a thermostat that triggers its operation. As the unit is dependent on the sun for its power source it will only operate while the sun is up.
